This course is designed for the firefighter that has successfully completed the Certified Volunteer Firefighter: Level I course. Upon completion of the course the student will have gained knowledge necessary to operate effectively at the senior firefighter level. Topics that are covered include: communications, fire detection systems, fire suppression systems, alarm systems, protecting evidence for fire cause determination, preparing for incident command, and hazardous materials for the first responder. All of the course material is referenced to the International Fire Service Training Association, Essentials of Firefighting, 4th Edition.
