Description: Of all the courses that Southern Rescue Response teaches this has become, by far, our most requested course. We train between 200 and 300 firefighters a year in vehicle extrication. We cover various topics in the course including:
During the course we cover how to perform a size up, what initial responders
should look for upon arrival, how to extricate the patient, and how to properly
ensure safety to your responders. With modern vehicles having up to 18
airbags located in them we need to look at the special operations needed to
respond safely and how we can protect our responders.
